I collaborated with the Slovak children’s shoe brand RAK on several models of children’s shoes. I created a series of designs for sneakers and winter boots, where the uppers are geometrically divided in different ways, made of panels and geometric shapes. When designing children’s shoes, functionality comes first, but for me as a designer and mother, the aesthetic side and a certain playfulness are also important. I like to work in such a way that the decorative elements on the shoes are not self-serving, but also fulfill some function, or. functional elements are used in an unconventional way and create that aesthetic.
